About a tree by alexandre-deschaumes About a tree by alexandre-deschaumes
Waterfall " Ray Pic " in "ardèche" . France .
A very beautiful place , full of 'basalt ' rocks , like svartifoss in Iceland .

This shows the lowest part of the waterfall , in the shade , with this beautiful tree in front . I had to wait for the absence of Wind . Because here I use approx 2 seconds exposure.

With Lee big stopper filter ( I kept the cold white balance tone )

Oui, faut que tu y aille quand t'aura beaucoup envie de marcher, parce que c'est presque 1 h de marche pour y arriver! :/ En plus si t'essaye par le coté suisse alors là c'est encore pire!

Love the cap!
What stop size did u use on the filter? (it was a ND filter right?)
Nice DOF effect and yes the choice to keep the WBT was a good idea..gives a cold feeling to the image.
I see u are using the 5D Mark II. That is the camera i'm saving for right now. I'm guessing you are pleased with it's handling and possibilities?
Well done

The use of the tree branches in the foreground is a clever, the eyes meet that first and then go beyond to the almost silky waterfall beyond. Rarely do I fave waterfalls, as they are in my mind difficult to capture, and few succeed in the way that you have. this really is an excellent composition, one i am pleased to add to my favourites gallery

When I first stumbled upon this glorious picture, I thought it was a painting! My what a beautiful place that must be! I really love the coolness to this picture, and the mood it sets. The bit of tree in the front is stunning, as well as the waterfall in the back! Lovely shot!(: <3

Brilliant!

I really like the contrast between the thin, light branches in the foreground, and the blurred, enormous waterfall in the background.
Color toning looks nice too :)
