Black Sun by alexandre-deschaumes Black Sun by alexandre-deschaumes
Big size visible here : [link]

The overwhelming mountainScape from this french valley. Almost a Black&White feeling .. , done with 17-40 mm a @40mm ( .. ) and Lee graduated filter to keep the sky ominous.

location : "Aiguille du Tacul" Massif du Mont Blanc . Chamonix . France

Thanks so much to all of you , for your comments.
I wish you an ethereal year 2011 :)

:sun: .. and the Earth speaks. Places shrouded in fog, what they can touch the clouds. Places where one can hear the miraculous stories, where one can enjoy and live the stories.. Maybe my words sound crazy, but that I see in the photo. And I think it's amazing

Mind if I ask what lens you typically use for such landscape shots ? The exposure and detail are gorgeous

J'aime!

Love the french alps, they are very peaky. this is a great shot but would probably look even better if it was panorama resolution / wider angle.
