Celestial Maelstrom has it. This well executed fisheye shot sucks you in and plays tricks on your mind, before telling you that the world we live in is a beautiful, magical place.

Starting at the base of the tree, we are directed upward while having to make several choices as how to continue our journey through the branches. But here is when it gets entirely interesting: Choosing either the top or the bottom branches doesn't matter. The tree is positioned with such careful contemplation, that both the top of the tree and the big branch on the bottom are leading the eye to the brighter parts of the Milky Way.

A lot can be said about Celestial Maelstrom, as it conveys a surreal sense of being there. Having used a fisheye for this composition, Alexandre justifies the title and walks away with a well composed, well exposed capture of the galaxy we live in.

Beautiful atmosphere and colour. Love the contrast of the white clouds and star cluster. Gorgeous shot and exposure.
