I'm rarely so impressed by a mountain photo. This one is really exceptional and I can't find anything for a negative critique. There are a lot of sunset / sunrise photos and I'm tired from watching them all, but this one is diferent. I like the contrast of the dark and the light, I like the diagonal composition, I like the dramatic feeling of the scene, I like the succession of the ridges that makes the photo plastic... In your gallery, I can see the effort invested into catching some shots in the mountains, where sometimes you have to go back without any good one.
Wow, I browsed through the daily deviations and of course your picture came instantly into my sight. And I was astonished by the way how you took the picture, by the editing.. by everything, really! The colours, the vision, everything just looks so beautiful and how I would call it: "mighty". I rarely see deviations as good as this (even tough I take lots of picture to my favourites) and this is absolutely awesome. I don't even see a point in making "bad" critique or anything like that so be happy with this "good critique" and feel pleased by it. I'm looking forward for MORE!
I don't know exactly how you produce your style, but I love the images in your gallery. They have the perfect balance of powerful composition, beautiful colours and interesting light effects. In my opinion you walk the fine line between fantasy and reality perfectly, making what is already extremely atmospheric even more so. This image is a great example of that.
this kind of reminds me of my 'wicked mountain' painting [link]...lovely photo. I love the contrasting lights and darks the warms and cools, clarity and detail of the mountain faces!
