The suggester says of this amazing devID, "What a fantastic way to pose for a deviantID - this incredible mossy tree seems almost like a scene from Jack and the Beanstalk or some other fairytale!"

Description

Hello :bounce:

I'm just back from a magical road trip through USA including Minnesota , South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, and Washington .. Pacific Ocean ! and Olympic National Park

I was with my friend and very very talented photographer & writer Ashley [ [link] ] You should check her work with faeriland , it's poetry.

In Olympic NP we have been hosted by [link] ( we met here in DA ) ! He was our guide , he showed us all the wonders in this magnificient area .. So , Tim , I want to THANK YOU again and again . Amazing kindness . I am very very grateful

hopefully maybe I organize a workshop in this part of the world one day .. this is a perfect place for it . Deep and strange forests , Epic ocean coastline , mountains, animals..

Here I am , on this picture, sitting in a dream tree , near Lake crescent . in Olympic . A dreamworld for me , full of incredible MOSS, huge trees from another world , and FOG.

I have now two workshops in the Alps and then , Iceland ( 20-29 June ) So , very busy , but I hope to work on some pictures of this trip soon .

thank you very much for everything.

I lived in Washington, and Olympic NP was my neighbor. I could see the Olympic mountains from my house. There are a lot of photos of this park in all of it's glory, with the mountains, trees and lakes, but this photo stands out above the rest, giving a unique perspective and an esoteric insight into the majesty and mystique of the land.
I feel this photo captures this essence of this forest and this land, and I have spent a lot of time there, especially around Crescent Lake. The green mossy branches reach from the ground into heaven above, and his presence adds the perspective of how small man is in nature and in scale to this great forest with its enormous mountains, trees and glacial lakes.
