Oh my god, I can't say that I've ever seen a more perfect visually impacting photo. I just had to sit down and stare at it for a couple of minutes.
Let me start with the tones...I love the movement from the warm tones to the colder ones. It starts with the warm red and orange mountains in the bottom, and as your eyes follow the cluster of stars that look like smoke coming out of the mountain the tones begin to cool down to a nice purple blue. And, the halo of light around the mountains is stunning, it makes this photo look even more surreal.
Next, as if the mountains weren't gorgeous enough already, you have a perfectly still reflection, adding this tranquility and zen to the photo, since the viewer knows that this was such a still and quiet night.
And the stars, my god the stars! You even managed to capture a shooting star, adding even more magic to this already glamorous shot.
The high ISO definitely worked, and this photo is one that I will remember for a long time
This is an image that truly takes my breath away. The capture of the subtleties of the lighting on the mountains in the distance, the play of the starlight, even the wisps of clouds are simply stunning. Combining that already gorgeous image with its inverted reflection in the water makes this photograph a thing of absolute beauty. It is nearly otherworldly, yet, at the same time, so grounded in reality albeit one more beautiful than many of us will see, that it is not only lovely to look at, but awe-inspiring, even moving as a work of art. It is truly fitting that the artist should choose to identify with the word "ethereal" for that is precisely what this piece embodies.
It's so beautiful. It kills me that here in the cities, we see barely 1/10 of the stars that appear in your photo. Thankyou for sharing this with us. I swear I will travel somewhere to see a nightsky like this for myself one day.
