Mont-Blanc by alexandre-deschaumes Mont-Blanc by alexandre-deschaumes
This is the "Mont-Blanc" , Chamonix , France . 4810 m

This is always ..quite .. stunning , to see all these shapes of snow and rocks ... It was shot during the evening light after a passing storm.

I Googled the map. It must be a lot of fun driving those mountain roads! (That I can still do.) I drove some roads like them in Corsica, took a short cut. It was a blast especially problem solving getting around the boulders without getting stuck. You are very lucky to live in such a wonderful place.

thank you ;)

You have a hiking track to lac des cheserys .. 2h30 from "col des montets " from 1400 to 2200 .. it's not too hard
and another possibily in summer to reach "lac blanc" juste above cheserys .. with a " telephérique" wich brings you at 1900 m so after it's an easy walk ..
but then it's crowded in summer ..
I would recommand to hiking track in june or september!
I would also recommand to come and do the workshop with me ;)

I would love to take one of your workshops except that my younger daughter is entering college this year so I will be poor for a while. Also, I would need a better definition of 'easy walk'. I am a tad older and I have had knee replacement. While the knees work well again, the rest of me is somewhat creaky. I would hate to slow everyone down or get stuck on the mountain - unless the workshop included alpine rescue. The Alps are a bit steeper than the Rockies. You are sweet to suggest it though.

I understand ! I have some ideas without a steep walk ! .. I know some areas with beautiful forests and streams , perfect for a workshop as well

someone come from the netherlands in october and can't walk too much ;)

I need to re-visit the French alps. Instead of going through the Mont Blanc tunnel, I want to go the long way - during the day. I had no idea that the French alps were so stunning. Most commercial photos of France show vineyards, Paris and chateaux. Did you have to hike to 'lac des cheserys' or is there a road? I think I may have missed the real France. Thank you for your marvelous photographs. You have a wonderful talent.

tu as enchainé beaucoup d'endroits bien apparemment oui .
