This is the third time I'm coming here . In Iceland . . And I'm still wondering how this landscape can be so strange and beautiful at the same time .. It's fascinating.
Here the hills have good natural contrasts and a glimpse of light , revealing the golden tones.. and mixed with ashes on snow ( recent volcano ) .. creating a very interesting 'silver and gold" palette .

You have created a very stunning image of one of my favourite places in earth. I mean, where else can you do a sunset and sunrise shot at midnight?
Fire and ice - the glow of the light on the rocks and the volcanic ash on the snow create a surreal view of a primordial place. Everything works well together, the mix of the warm tones and the cold tones; the shadows and the highlights. Not including the sky adds to the level of abstraction that you have achieved here.
My eyes are always drawn to the dark shadows in the lower left hand corner of the image. I'm not sure if that adds or takes away from the overall image. It does break up the image, regardless.
superbe et irréel , on a en effet l'impression que de l'argent liquide cotoie de l'or un peu plus solide , la couverture de cendre forme de belles iridescences ; l'islande est vraiment un eldorado photographique

Iceland; pure, young and raw! A great picture.
