Description

Iceland.
The Awesome waterfall of Skogar Foss in the south of the Island .. Another point of view .. still quite strong, BW and LONG exposure.

The other view =>

I'm still wondering which one is the best ..

These views of the waterfall are quite common unfortunatly .. Maybe there is still something inspiring about the BW choice, very long exposure and the strong constrasts.

Out of both views that the artist presents, I think this one is the best. Being able to see the flow of the water at the top of the falls before it cascades into a tower of white really adds to the dynamic effect of viewing the waterfall.

Black and white was a fantastic choice here too. It really sets the mood for the piece and "just works" really well in fact. Its intresting to see the water flowing at the top of the falls and then endlessly falling as a soft white mass down through the rest of the shot. It really draws the viewer into the scene and I love it.

Without saying too much, I think this image really packs a "wow" factor thats sure to make someone pause and view it. The composition is superb and dynamic, the quality and crispness of the shot is flawless.

The thing I like the most about the shot though is the simplicity. Alot of waterfall shots are taken from a greater distance with a wider view of the surrounding scenery. Often times that can be very distracting but thats not the case here. In this shot, the artist provides us a perfect view of the falls without too much distraction from the surrounding environment. Well done <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" title=":) (Smile)" />
