A lovely use of an F1.2. My dad only just got an F1.8 prime lens I'm raring to use next time I'm home. Love how you combined the narrow depth of field with surprisingly dark tones here. Thanks for keeping the EXIF data on the photo - I enjoy guessing how a shot was done and being able to see how close I am. And gosh, I was right about a quick shutter speed. Pretty sure my camera can't even do 1/6317 second.
In general I love the way you play with forms. While your subjects are identifiable, the photos are more than "a picture of a tree." They stand somewhere between concrete and abstract, and it makes them really interesting to look at. The kind of picture I can sort of... watch... for minutes on end.
Nice juxtaposition of Japanese maple with their sun symbol, by the way. (That's the kind of thing I always do by accident if at all, but props either way.)
