Having spent a good few years climbing the mountains of Europe and other parts of the world, I can fully appreciate what goes in to taking a shot like this. It certainly takes more than just pointing your camera in the right direction and pressing the shutter release. How often do we actually sit and consider what goes into taking pictures like this when we look at them, instead of just writing "oh, great pic by the way"?
The clarity of this capture was what caught my eye initially, then I sat here and enjoyed the hues that give it an almost ethereal touch. The cloud, that is really the eye catcher in this shot, is a bonus, without it the picture would still be more than an eye-catcher in my humble opinion.
My congratulations on a stunning capture.
