Waiting for the good light by alexandre-deschaumes Waiting for the good light by alexandre-deschaumes
I was on the crest , I felt the sun could pierce through the evening clouds , revealing a magnificient purple color everywhere at sunset ..

It never came :(

the stunning light is always very scarce ... so the only way to catch it ,after the 'begginer's luck" is to go in the wilderness .. very often ..

Well, at least a good shot came out of it, right?

The snow and clouds and the change in the land remind me of Mordor from Lord of the Rings.

I like this picture if nothing else it shows your devotion and willingness to try. I really like the message it brings out.

Well when you love to do something you have to try no matter what. Its better to give 100% and fail than to give 50% and succeed. I was given an idea by your photography to so keep an eye out for a new pic from me... if it pans out it is lol. There is a foot hill to the Cascades mountains right by my house, and we have been having exceedingly clear nights so i think i shall try to get a sunset shot.

Trying is sometimes very good despite the fact that we 'failed ' but sometimes ... after a try , we get a bit " depressed' and after that, we don't try for a long time , so ... complex!

That's gorgeous. I would maybe hardly believe it's picture if there was no one in the picture... I really love the mood in the picture, and the clouds remind me of the Lord of the Rings. Like storm in the distance, or something like that :-) Really strong picture

Unlucky about the sunset mate, still, a very moody sky captured that compliments the landscape, and foreground with yourself quite well. I can't wait to get time to climb the mountains again.
