Just because you shot it in the street...JUST BECAUSE YOU SHOT IT IN THE STREET IT DOESN'T MAKE IT "STREET PHOTOGRAPHY"
Street Photography is a largely misunderstood and misinterpreted photography genre http://myraincheck.deviantart.com/art/Statistics-on-Street-Photography-371453155 .
So, let's try to kill the most common misunderstandings:
Street photography is not photography of (empty) streets and it is not necessarily a photo taken in a street.
Street photography most definitely is not photography of your All Stars shoes in the street, it is not photography of your cat, or of graffiti or 'street art' (that's another genre of photography), it is not photography of your friends or family on trip.
Let's see some attempts to define street photography:

Urbex #10What I found particularly interesting about this weeks Urbex topic, is the fact that two popular art genres, at least here on deviantART, have been combined. I came across an article about Urban Explorer Jared Lim who photographs not only under-appreciated, un-seen and forgotten places - but also who makes Abstract Art from them. From my time as a CV in the Abstract and Surreal Community, I've learned quite strongly that you can make Abstract Art from anything, but I would never have associated it with Urban Exploration. Just goes to show...So anyway, this weeks features are along that theme. They hold repeated shapes and patterns amongst the more obvious theme...

FriedDay Features #6: Guinea Pigs[WARNING: CUTENESS OVERLOAD]
Hello guys, This FriedDay i'm featuring Guinea pigs - related artworks from the dA photography gallery. I personally love guinea pigs so much. I got 2 on Christmas 2012 and then in april they gave birth to 3 little piglets. But then the weather here got really hot and I had to send them to a farm in a mountain. Will be getting them back during winter. I missed them to much so I decided to dedicate this feature for the love of piglets Hope you enjoy this article post and spread some love.

Well, there is more than one answer to that question. But, I want to put all focus into one reason in particular: memories.
We live our life and go through various things, and it all passes so quickly, time flies. We remember certain moments of our life,

An event happens but as soon as it's over, it can never be repeated again. In my view, photography is a perfect way to capture something
you will never be able to live again. When you take a picture of something, it lives forever, it is eternal.
Just look at it like this: It's your birthday, graduation, prom night, engagement, wedding, the birth of your child and so on..
Of course, these are events that you will always remember, but wouldn't you want something to remember them by?

How to take a beautiful photoComposition, subject, and perspective are the three components that make a beautiful photo, no matter what kind of camera you have.
If you are an amateur photographer and strive to take an interesting photo , try shooting nature shots first. A digital camera is easy

What do you guys do to make your photos look so HQ in Facebook?
Well the only good news that we can give you is that it is not your fault.
Facebook has this "skill" for ruining the quality of the photos, which makes them seem not to "Clean".
Then what can you do to avoid this? ..
The quality of photography must be high!
The first thing you need to do is save your picture in the highest quality possible!
Why should I do that ? Is because Facebook itself will reduce the picture and it will reduce the quality aswell.

So, for the ones who wondered where I was all the time: I created another dA-account for my photos

Right now taking photos is kind of an alternative to drawing. I sit at my desk so much time, that I just want to spend the rest of the day there to draw

Hello!

I'm exploring the 'news' and 'journal' part of Deviant art these days as you can see

So..

I really enjoy to transmit my passion for 'Atmospheric Landscape' photography so .. for those of you who feel interested ..
I give private or group worskhop in my area ( and yet many places everywhere in the world if you invite me ! ).

We go hiking and camping in nature to catch light and explore all my process of work, then , in a second part, we go on the computer and learn the RAW edition and Photoshop post processing.

beyond the basis of photography, I also explain the different ways and technics I have found to express this abstract and somewhat mystical mood I'm everlastingly seeking.

I also provide an eleven pages PDF course about all my advanced RAW and Photoshop editing, wich can be bought Separately.

Je débute depuis peu dans la photo et le concept que tu proposes m'intéresse beaucoup, je n'ai malheureusement pas beaucoup de temps à moi jusqu'à la fin du mois de septembre. Mais peut-être qu'en octobre je serai en congé forcé
